Do you accept vision insurance?

No insurance? No problem — our factory-direct prices are designed to be affordable for everyone, with or without vision coverage. If you do have a vision plan, we provide itemized receipts so you can file for reimbursement through your employer's benefits. Many customers receive significant money back — ask us for details when you visit.

What do I need to file for reimbursement?

Accepted Answer

We'll give you an itemized receipt listing the services and products you purchased. Take that receipt to your HR department or vision benefits portal and submit it as an out-of-network claim. The process varies by plan, but most PPO-style vision plans allow it.

Question 3

Is it still worth coming in if I have insurance?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Our factory-direct pricing is often lower than the out-of-pocket cost at in-network providers — even before reimbursement. Many customers find they save more by coming here and filing for reimbursement than by using their in-network benefit.

Question 4

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment needed. Walk-ins are always welcome. Just come in during our business hours and we'll take care of you.

What are your hours?

Accepted Answer

We're open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00am to 6:30pm. We are closed Wednesday and Sunday.

How long does a visit typically take?

An eye exam takes about 20–30 minutes. Selecting frames and placing a lens order usually takes another 15–30 minutes. If you're picking up a completed order or getting a quick adjustment, it's often just a few minutes.

Can you repair my glasses same day?

Accepted Answer

Most adjustments and minor repairs — like tightening screws, replacing nose pads, or realigning frames — are done while you wait. More involved repairs depend on the type of damage; ask us and we'll give you an honest estimate.

Question 8

Do I need to have bought my glasses here for repairs?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Bring in any pair of glasses and we'll do our best to help. Frame adjustments and screw replacements are available regardless of where you bought them.

Question 9

Can you replace just the lenses in my existing frames?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your frames are in good condition, we can cut new lenses to fit them in our in-house lab. Bring your frames and your current prescription and we'll give you a quote.

Question 10

Can you put my prescription in Ray-Ban Meta glasses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We remove the demo lenses and cut your prescription lenses in our own in-house lab. It doesn't matter where you bought the frames — Meta.com, Best Buy, Amazon or here. Bring the glasses and your prescription and we'll take care of it.

Do you sell Meta AI glasses in store?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carry Ray-Ban Meta, Ray-Ban Meta Optics and Oakley Meta at our Lakewood store. Stock changes, so call us at (562) 282-5716 and we'll tell you what's on the wall today.

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

Anywhere from same day to about a week, depending on your prescription and the lens type you choose. We'll give you a straight answer when we look at your Rx.

Question 13

How much do prescription lenses for Meta glasses cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your prescription and lens type. Come in or call and we'll quote you straight — factory-direct pricing, same as the rest of our lenses.

Question 14

Will my insurance cover it?

Accepted Answer

Bring your insurance information in. We accept vision insurance and can give you the itemized receipt you need to file for reimbursement. We also accept CareCredit.

Question 15

My Meta glasses keep sliding down. Can you fix that?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and you don't need to have bought them from us. Meta frames are designed with adjustable temple tips and swappable nose pads, but most people never get them properly fitted. Walk in and we'll adjust them for you.

Question 16

What is an in-house lens lab?

Accepted Answer

We cut and finish prescription lenses right here in our store rather than sending them out to a third-party lab. This means faster turnaround — often same day or next day for standard prescriptions — and tighter quality control.

Question 17

How fast can I get my glasses?

Accepted Answer

Many standard single-vision prescriptions are ready same day or next day. Progressive lenses and specialty coatings may take a bit longer. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you place your order.

What should I bring to my visit?

Accepted Answer

If you have a current prescription, bring it along — it speeds things up. If you need an eye exam, we'll take care of that here. If you're getting contact lenses, bring your current contacts or their packaging so we have your base curve and diameter. If you plan to file for insurance reimbursement, have your vision plan information handy.

My prescription is expired. Can I still get glasses?

Accepted Answer

We recommend a current prescription (within 1–2 years) for accuracy. If yours is expired, we can perform an eye exam here starting at $60 — or just $30 with a glasses purchase — so you'll have an up-to-date prescription the same day.

Do you carry reading glasses or non-prescription sunglasses?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we carry a selection of ready-made reading glasses and non-prescription sunglasses in addition to our full prescription eyewear. Come in and browse.

We carry Ray-Ban, Oakley, Gucci, Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors, Tiffany & Co. and Oliver Peoples, along with a curated selection of Korean eyewear brands and Hapa Kristin color contact lenses.
